Mississauga News - Dec. 21, 2009 - Letter by Michael Mould, Mississauga

Loose cannon

Dear Editor:

Councillor Carolyn Parrish should do the citizens of Mississauga a favour and take early retirement.

She is nothing more than a loose cannon. Imagine the damage she would do to the community if she were elected mayor and went on to have another temper tantrum.

She’s a disaster waiting to happen: We’ve had one and don’t need another!

Walk softly but carry a big stick

The truth is out there (Scotty) and it will prevail. Let justice and its big stick beat the bushes to unwind the tangled web - Charlotte.

Choice between Pussy-Cats and Pit-Bulls.......!!!!

Mr. Mould’s disapproval of the (recent) inappropriate behavior of Ms. Parrish may be justified. However, we must be careful on our choice between someone (e.g. self serving individuals like Eve Adams) who merely decorate the councilor position and someone (like Ms. Parrish) who work for the benefit of tax payers, leading a daring fight on corruption and nepotism at the City Hall.

So many MYTHissaugans. So many Fiends of Hazel. SO LITTLE TRUTH

with the biggest lie being that Mississauga is a "caring community".

One What?

We have had one and dont need another. What is it that we have just had; one disaster, one mayor or a one disaster mayor? What part don’t we need and what is it you think we do need?

* Agree 1

Stephen Wahl     Dec 21, 2009 9:46 PM

Keep waiting

She is a disaster waiting to happen. You might just as well be Waiting for Gado.

Sub Urban Myth

Another temper tantrum. So many people, often egged on by the media, have and continue to perpetuate the myth of the Carolyn Parish temper tantrum. When was the first one? When did she last have a temper tantrum? No one to this day has ever described personally seeing or hearing Carolyn having a tantrum although the reports of people hearing about someone who has keep circulating.

Damage is already done

Imagine the damage if elected mayor. Actually the more frightening prospect is to imagine the mess that the next mayor will find and subsequently be blamed for as they struggle along in their first term of office.

Under the guns

She is nothing more than a loose cannon. Obviously the author does not know the origin or meaning of the term Loose Cannon. More like an Abrams tank if you ask me; fast firing, fast moving, accurate and very frightening to be the target of. But a loose cannon? Just get hold of it or get out of the way.

Stephen Wahl     Dec 21, 2009 9:43 PM

Dont do me any favors

And take early retirement. For Carolyn to take early retirement would not be doing anyone a favour, even if that is what you think you want her to do. I do not want her to retire early; and once more you have expressed your own opinion and again, without authorization, assigned that same opinion to all the citizens of Mississauga.

Stephen Wahl     Dec 21, 2009 9:42 PM

Speak for yourself

Should do the citizens of Mississauga a favour. What citizens of Mississauga are you talking about? I know for certain you are not talking about me; and, in future do not presume that you speak for anyone other than yourself, unless you have authority to do so.
